About the Artist
Aimee Valentine

Aimee Valentine is the creator of the comic strip "Year of the Dog", which features the foster stories of volunteers from Grateful Dogs Rescue.  The weekly comic strip was designed to lighten hearts, provoke smiles, and open reader's eyes to the rewarding experience of fostering rescues.  Grateful Dogs volunteers, like all rescue volunteers, have endless stories about the dogs that have been rescued, fostered and adopted.  Which makes us wonder...who's being rescued here?  Us or them?  A lot can happen in the Year of the Dog.  

Aimee Valentine is a cartoonist and writer pursuing her MFA at SFState.  She is also the proud guardian of Finnegan, an angelic mutt who turned up one winter's day at the Silicon Valley Humane Society.  He is the best thing about her.
