Grateful Dogs Rescue Adoption Event at Beale + Bryant Street Dog Park February 11th

13-Jan-2012

Join the South Beach and Rincon Hill neighborhoods in celebrating the official opening of the Beale and Bryant Street Dog Park on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 from 11:00 - 2:00.

Grateful Dogs Rescue volunteers will be on hand to talk about fostering and/or adopting a rescue dog and meet some of the dogs currently in foster care and looking for their 'forever homes'. If you are looking to adopt a dog in the San Francisco bay area, come out and meet the volunteers of Grateful Dogs Rescue and perhaps meet your new best friend.

Check out the available dogs on the Grateful Dogs Rescue website at http://gratefuldogsrescue.org/AdoptaDogThroughGratefulDogsRescue

Not all of the dogs will be at the adoption event, so please contact Grateful Dogs Rescue if there is a particular dog you're interested in meeting.

If you are interested in fostering a dog on a volunteer basis with Grateful Dogs Rescue, come out and learn more about fostering. Click here to see dogs currently looking for foster homes. (Note: these dogs WILL NOT be at the event)

About Grateful Dogs Rescue
Grateful Dogs Rescue, a non-profit organization, was founded 20 years ago by Michelle Parris, a former San Francisco Animal Care and Control volunteer. She made it her mission to rescue "un-adoptable dogs," i.e. dogs not made available for adoption because they needed some medical help or some behavioral training. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs Rescue saves as many as possible by fostering these special-needs dogs until a loving home is found. To learn more about Grateful Dogs Rescue, please visit our website at www.gratefuldogsrescue.org

Adopting a friend
The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and adoption fee. The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, micro-chip, shots, and other medical care given before the dog is adopted. Adoptions are local, confined to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Foster care is donated by volunteers. If you are interested in offering a temporary home for a foster dog, please contact us by phone or email. Thank you for opening your heart to a Grateful Dog!
