Meet Birdie & Minnie
Birdie and Minnie are a tiny, blind bonded pair who navigate the world with trust, joy, and the cutest little confidence. Once they learn their space, they explore with ease, follow their humans like a cheerful parade, and give endless snuggles and kisses.
Birdie (5 yrs, 9 lbs) — the gentle leader
Minnie (2 yrs, 5.5 lbs) — her fluffy shadow who follows with total trust
They’ll thrive in a calm home with predictable routines, baby gates for stairs, and ideally a gentle sighted dog to help guide them. Their foster family will walk adopters through everything they need.
Curious about fostering?
Fostering is a vital part of the process of giving a rescue a second chance. For many dogs it is the place where they learn to feel safe and secure. It is also a very rewarding experience for the foster parent. In the words of one of our volunteers:
“We thoroughly enjoy seeing the transformation from a sometimes sad, lonely, sick or un-trusting dog into a beautiful pet ready to share their love with another family and we love giving the gift of a best friend to other people and families.”

MOnthly SF Chihuahua meetup
The San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup is a fantastic group of people and their amazing Chihuahuas, chi-mixes and small dogs!!! Join people that come out every month to celebrate these amazing little dogs! We meet the FIRST Sunday of every month at Stern Grove Dog Park, San Francisco!
The next meetup is Sunday July 5, between 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Stern Grove Park.
