Grateful Dogs Rescue is a volunteer run organization. With no staff, we rely on the generosity of time and talent from the San Francisco bay area dog community to help us save the lives of dogs at risk of euthanization at the San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local bay area shelters.
We are always in need of additional volunteers to support the work we do. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the application below.
If you have questions or would like additional information about any of the currently available volunteer opportunities please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes! You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having a place for them to stay until we can find them a loving forever home. Click here to learn more about fostering.
If you can't foster but have good dog and organizational skills, consider being a case manager. Our case managers support our foster parents through the process from when they bring their foster dog home until their dog is adopted. Click here to learn more about case managing. To start, new case managers will co-case manage with an experienced case manager.
Assist in screening foster applications, and helping our dog screeners match dogs in need with foster parents.
Contact foster parents to see if they can attend. Coordinate rides for dogs that can attend without their foster parent. Help in event set up and take down.
